Prawn Trawler – Starfish
Andrew started fishing in 1978 at the tender age of 16 in Crowdy Heads. In 1998 Andrew became a Member of the Coffs Harbour Fishermen’s Co-operative and is currently the owner of the Starfish Prawn Trawler.
Andrew semi-retired 15 years ago but has a fabulous crew that work the vessel on his behalf and regularly bring in fresh prawns, bugs, crabs, squid for locals to enjoy. Andrew continues to be very involved with the day to day running, upkeep of the vessel and is a valuable member with years of experience within the Co-operative.
